Payton entered the house not silencing himself. He immediately called a house meeting to announce to his housemates that he is half south-continental Asian. This set a huge target on his back from the beginning, causing him to be nominated all three weeks that he was in the game. During week one, his speech and constant talking landed him with the fourth most votes to nominate, but was saved in the hopes that he would be used as a shield by other houseguests. After Tucker nominated him next to Dylan, his frenemy from the outside world, Max, used the power of veto on him, saving him from inevitable eviction. However, following Hannah's HOH win, he was successfully backdoored when Harrison used the Boomerang veto to save himself. He was evicted by a 6-1 vote out of fear that he would vote bitterly in the jury phase.
